Can you add recessed lighting to an existing ceiling?
Usually, yes. Most existing ceilings can take remodel-style recessed lights fed through small access holes, so there's little or no drywall patching. We check the framing, insulation and what's above the ceiling at the quote visit.
Do pools and hot tubs need special wiring?
Yes. Code requires GFCI protection, equipotential bonding, a disconnect within sight of a hot tub, and wiring methods rated for wet locations. We handle the permit and inspection.
My lights flicker. Is that dangerous?
A single flickering bulb is often just the bulb or a dimmer that doesn't match an LED. Flickering across rooms, or lights that dim when appliances start, can point to a loose connection or an overloaded service. Those are worth having checked soon.
Do you install fixtures I've bought myself?
Yes. We install customer-supplied fixtures, fans and smart switches all the time. We'll confirm the box, support and circuit are right for them before we hang anything.
